good thursday morning. we thank you for the company. i'm eric thomas. and i'm kristen sze another officer-involved shooting in the bay area. oakland police fired on a man last night. terry mcsweeney is live at police headquarters. >> reporter: we are expecting to get answers to questions from oakland pd later this morning. the person shot by an oakland police officer last night is expected to survive. look at video from the scene last night. this happened 7:30, 105th avenue and e street where a police officer shot a man in his 20s. police are not saying the circumstances leading up to it. where this man was shot. whether the person who was shot had a gun. only that he is in stable condition. police are not confirming the officer involved is female. crews at the scene did see

officers examining a dark colored two-- car. we don't know how that car fits into the scenario. what led up to it, we don't know. police are not saying a lot now. six police officer involved shooting ins the bay area. last week in vallejo two police officer involved shootings there. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. in san mateo county the district attorney is investigating the fatal shooting involving a south san francisco police officer. 15-year-old derrick gaines was killed by police tuesday night. family and friends gathered to remember him and demand answers. police say gaines and a friend were acting suspiciously. video shows them running past the gas pump. police say a patrol officer ordered them to stop. the friend complied, police say gained ran then pulled a handgun.
